So, here we are, 5 days from departure and I’ve got an ear infection. Departure is looking problematic at this point but….hope springs eternal.
We are Thomas and Liz. I know everyone reading this knows Liz by a different name (unless you’re here accidentally), Mary, Beth, Mary Beth, Mary Elizabeth, but she introduced herself to me as Liz and Liz she will remain. Some will call it obstinance, recalcitrance. That’s not it at all (though I can be both) it’s simply that in choosing to change her name in her Match profile, I believe she was telling the world that “I am not any of those people, I am all, and more.”. Shedding her skin so to speak. Anyway, translate her name as you see fit.
Our itinerary, if it comes to pass, is Ireland for approximately 3 weeks, Scotland for about 2 weeks, then France for an estimated 4 weeks. Then Northern Europe; Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark. Ireland and Scotland and the beginning of France are all locked down, reservations made, travel arrangements figured out. The rest is what we originally envisioned. But….my sister told me this week that you can walk the whole country of Liechtenstein in 47 miles. When I told Liz that she became very interested. We’ll see. That’s why the title. Liz is very fond of chasing shiny pennies. It’s her hobby.
